LATE ADESIJI NOAH ISMAILA.K.A KUL-GUY
A socio-economic group of UI DLC students (TRANSFORMATION GROUP) has urged the management of Distance learning center university of Ibadan to declare a One minute silent for the demise of a final year statistics student of UI DLC (Late Adesiji Noah Ismail) who gave up the ghost in the late hours of 29th November 2017 at a hospital in Lagos state.

Speaking during the meeting organized to discuss the arrangements of special Prayer for the deceased, the convener of the group who is also an Ex student of the school, Comr Salako Oladimeji accentuate that effort will be made to the management of UI DLC to request for a minute silence during the forthcoming town hall meeting scheduled for Ibadan and Lagos on 3rd and 4th November respectively . He said this we know of course can not bring the deceased back to life but will be a significant recognition of a person who in his own capacity as a student contribute to the progress and development of Distance learning, University of Ibadan. He said Cool Guy as fondly called was not just a student, but such student who is passionate of ODL education and through which many students has joined UI DLC. It will not be too much if we can discuss with the management and get a one minute permanent silence as a form of last respect for the deceased. We also must not forget that he has invested in the university of Ibadan for 5 years and could not get the end result which was a certificate. He said we will request for this significant gift from the management of his school and we are optimistic that the management will gladly accept our request.

A leader of the group, who also doubled as the former chairman of UDPIC Hon Mayowa Adewale says our resolve to make this request was born out of the impactful life the deceased lived when he was alive. Many students of DLC University of Ibadan will attest to the fact that he has assisted them legitimately in the course of their program in UI DLC especially in terms of using the social media to disseminate qualitative information ,necessary orientation of courses to register or not. He was an exceptional student who made learning easier for our adult working class students by organizing different but voluntary tutorials and advising them on necessary materials to complement the DlC course material for valiant performance. Hon Adewale concluded that we will try all our best as his friends on the one hand and beneficiary of his impactful life on the other to request the one minute silence for the late Noah and we want to self assured that the current DlC management under our amiable director Prof Oyesoji Aremu will acknowledge and grant our request.

Until his death, Late Adesiji Noah Ismail was a final year student of statistics, university of Ibadan (DLC). He was buried amid tears in Markaz Agege area of Lagos on the 30th of Oct 2017. The late Adesiji Noah is survived by Mother, and three siblings which two are currently on their Masters program in the university of Lagos and the last just gained admission into the university.
